Wife jailed in UAE for three months for ‘looking at husband’s phone and laughing with her siblings’

A wife has been jailed for three months in the United Arab Emirates for allegedly looking at her husband’s phone and laughing at the contents with her siblings.

The unnamed woman was locked up for scrolling through the device while her husband slept and transferring pictures and messages to her own phone, according to reports.

She is then said to have mockingly shown the files to her siblings, much to her partner’s rage.

The woman claimed she had permission to check her husband’s phone ever since she caught him chatting to other women.
