The Member of Parliament (MP)for Afigya Kwabre South Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Mr. William Owuraku Aidoo, easily qualifies as epitome of development projects within the area.
The MP, who is in his second term has managed to spread development projects to every corner of the constituency to the amazement of the electorates.
It is therefore dishonest, unthinkable, bunkum and incongruous for any individual or group to claim that Mr. Aidoo was not performing as an MP.
The Afigya Kwabre South MP, who is a Deputy Minister of Energy in charge of Power has visible projects that makes him to stand tall among MPs from the Ashanti Region.
Through the MP, the people of Atimatim could boast of an ultra-modern Health Centre which was heavily financed by Mr. Aidoo with support from his share of the MPs Common Fund.
The centre serves as the first point of call to access health by several people in and around Atimatim.
Apart from that, the constituency has adequate road infrastructure with more having been awarded on contract.
Mpobi, Ejuratia, Ankaase and Heman roads have been awarded on contract.
In addition to that streetlights for almost every part of the constituency have been commissioned and are all working.
A higher percentage of the the communities within the constituency have been provided with potable water.
The situation where people had to walk for hours in search of water is now a thing of the past.
Furthermore, Mr. Aidoo is constructing ultra-modern places of convenience (toilets) at Afrancho, Heman and Krobo which are at advance stages whiles others have been started in other areas.
With education as a topmost priority of Mr. Aidoo, there have been construction of school blocks and rehabilitation of old ones. Construction of more new school blocks are underway.
Through a well structured plan, Mr. Aidoo has been able to provide educational scholarship to hundreds of pupils at basic level and students at the second to tertiary level from the constituency.
The students are scattered all over schools and universities across the country.
One thing that cannot be taken away from Mr. Aidoo is his impeccable human relations and readiness to listen and serve the people to their expectations.
