The Kwabenya Traditional Council in the GA East Municipality of the Greater Accra Region has threatened to burn down a house at Ashongman, a suburb in Accra where it is alleged that the Lesbians, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender LGBT, had a meeting last Wednesday.
The Chiefs said an investigation had been launched into the matter to find out the exact house and the owner of the premises.
This was said during a press conference organized by the Kwabenya Traditional Council concerning the setting up of the office in the area.
Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Traditional Council, who doubles as the Kwabenya Musuku manhene, Nii Mensah Dza Nyomo 1, said the council would not hesitate to set the premises ablaze after their investigations.
“We will not sit down for Kwabenya to gain a bad name as the LGBT meeting grounds or to allow others to say the office is located at Kwabenya-Ashongman. No way!’ he angrily added.
