The Koforidua Diocese of the Methodist Church Ghana over the weekend celebrated the Connexional Children’s Week in style.
Some of the activities performed were Choreography dance, Bible recitals, Drama, Poetry recitals among others to the delight of the congregants.
The TNP NEWS team visited some Circuits in the regional capital in Koforidua. The circuits visited were Koforidua, Nsukwao, Effiduase and Asokore circuits.
At the Wesley Cathedral- Koforidua, the children were given free nose mask and alcohol based hand sanitizer.
It was a delight to watch the children as they performed the various roles during the service.
At all the circuits visited, the children preached the sermon, read the bible, led the liturgy, song ministrations and playing of the instruments.
Some parents who spoke to the TNP News team expressed delight at the performance of the children.
They said it was time the Church gave the children the role to exhibit their talents as demonstrated during the week long celebration.
They were optimistic that the displays by the children would not be just once but ample time could be allocated to them.
‘ From what I have seen today, I can tell you that the future of the Church is bright’ a happily parent told TNP News team.
