The Koforidua Diocesan Methodist Youth Fellowship Celebrates 40th Anniversary Celebration/ 13th delegates Conference with a call on members to intensify their evangelism drive to win more souls for Christ and the Methodist Church Ghana.
In a goodwill message, the Diocesan Bishop of Koforidua Diocese, The Rt. Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Asare-Kusi called for total surrender and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ.
‘We are to make sacrifices in this wise as we work with the leadership of the church at various levels with the evangelistic programmes’ He pointed out.
He added that, the challenges they face can be overcome with prayer and perseverance thereby urging them to follow Jesus Christ and learn from him as true disciples and to teach others.
To this end, congratulated all the leaders, Past and Present for their various contributions.
On his part, the Lay Chairman, Bro Samuel Benjamin Mensah called on the leadership of the fellowship to lead the crusade for the realization of the church’s vision and theme for 2019.
The conference was on the theme ‘ Intensifying our teaching ministry through disciple making: The Youth in Focus’.
For his part, the Secretary of Synod, Very Rev. Dr Samuel Dua Dodd pointed out that the only way for continuity, for conformity and for the preservation of the word of God is to teach our disciples.
He added that ‘ Let’s teach them our structures, what is written in our books, and in our liturgical materials. I hope that you will intensify your effortsin this direction’.
