The hardworking Parliamentary Candidate for Awutu Senya West Constituency NDC, Hon. Gizella Tetteh-Agbotui has assured school girls in her constituency that she will make their education a priority to help them get a brighter future.
She gave the above assurance when she honoured an invitation extended to her by Awutu Senya West District Education Directorate as part of International Girl Child Day held in Awutu Bawjiase under the theme “Empowering Girls For Brighter Future”.
Speaking at the programme, Hon. Gizella Tetteh-Agbotui encouraged the girls from the various schools in the District to take their studies seriously and dream big.
She applied her life experience and architectural career as perfect example as a female in men dominated industry for demystification.
She also used the opportunity to reiterate her commitment to supporting the girl child as a big and mentor in the District.
Inspired by the confidence and astuteness of Hon. Gizella Tetteh-Agbotui, the girls pledged their efforts, hardwork and focus to pursue their ambitions in order to be professionals in future.
Hon. Gizella Tetteh-Agbotui was joined by Mrs. Matilda Sorkpor, Women Organizer, Isaac Abbeyquaye, Personal Assistant and yours truly Kweku Ampong, Communications Officer.
Other dignitaries present were Miss Audrey Baffour, Country Rep For Wellbeing Africa Foundation and Chairperson for the occasion, Ebenezer Bortsie, GES Inspectorate Unit, Dr. Winifred Agyemang, GES Gender Desk, Mildred Annan Nunoo, Girl Child Education Coordinator all from Awutu Senya West District.
