Mrs. Abla Dzifa Gomashie, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ketu South Constituency has donated some personal protective equipment (PPE) to the Ketu South Municipal Police Headquarters.
The items were Hand sanitizers, face masks, as well as other protective equipment.
Mrs. Gomashie told the TNP NEWS that the gesture was a personal support in the fight against COVID 19 in the area.
Speaking with the leadership of the Police, she said it is her hope that the PPE will aid them in the discharge of their duties effectively.
She reiterated that Covid-19 is real, hence her collaboration with the municipal police team to educate and inform the public.
Mrs. Gomashie urged the police to ensure that every individual goes strictly with the established protocols to avoid the rise in figures of persons affected by the virus.
The Police commander, Superintendent Obrako Sarpong Bempah, expressed his gratitude for the gesture from Mrs. Gomashie and promised to put them to good use.
He was grateful to the MP who he said has made it a habit to show support to the Municipal Police Command.
He acknowledged that this is one of the many gestures the MP has shown and they were extremely grateful and look forward to more.
