Apparatchiks of government are paddling falsehoods about why the Managing Director (MD) of the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation (BOST) resigned from his position last week Friday.
Pro-government newspaper, Daily Guide had reported that Mr. George Mensah Okley was forced to resign over issues relating to corporate governance.
It is turning out the paper churned out lies that emanated from top government officials who fell for gossips, rumours and lies against the hardworking MD.
The whole moves were orchestrated by top government officials, including certain official at the seat of government, Jubilee House.
Those elements used workers of BOST, who wanted to do things their own way, something Mr. Okley wouldn’t allow to happen.
The lead character in the mischief against the resigned MD is lady who was a newscaster at a private television station who was recruited into the communications department months after the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government took office in 2017.
Various false petitions to higher places of authority against Mr. Okley were the handiwork of the lady who works in close collaboration with a senior journalist with Daily Guide for the grubby against the former BOST MD.
Those in higher places in government who were privy those false petitions attempted blackmailing Mr. Okley by asking for certain contracts to be awarded to certain people.
However, the MD would not kowtow to the whims and caprices of the blackmailers
For fiercely resisting the mischief makers, more lies were packaged until Mr. Okley was forced to resign last week Friday.
What was interesting and intriguing was the fact that there were fracases among some top government officials at the Jubilee House as some of them plainly told those who hounded Mr. Okley out of office of not being fair to him.
It was after the whole move turned eggs on the faces of the top government officials that they activated the pack of lies against Mr. Okley.
Meanwhile, www.tnpnewsonline.com has it that Board Members of BOST are currently in a meeting discussing the unfair manner Mr. Okley was treated.
