The Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) has not released any list of contractors to be paid, The Inquisitor can say without any fear of contradiction.
The only lists that the outfit has pasted on its premises are on contractors that are to regularize their documentations on contracts that have been executed already.
Some elements who have turned themselves into Middlemen to swindle contractors are also claiming that they have the capacity to get the GETFund to pay them their arrears.
The GETFund does not deal with middlemen and contractors who engage would just be dealing with wrong people because they cannot influence anybody.
The GETFund is to receive some GHC500 million as announced by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Again, the GETFund does not demand any percentage from contractors before making payments to them.
The current managers have carefully designed a well-tailored programme to pay all arrears, continue uncompleted projects and initiate new projects for educational institutions.
All avenues that were hitherto used by people, including contractors, have been blocked and that is making certain people uncomfortable.
Those unhappy elements have resorted to the peddling of falsehoods against the current managers and the board of the GETFund.
Largely described as Vampires,’ those elements want to pounce on the expected GHC500million, but the managers and board would not allow them to do so.
The GETFund is headed by Mr. Richard Boadu, while Professor Dominic Fobih is the Board Chairman.
The two are seen as hard nuts to crack because they always insist on the right thing being done.
Some persons close to the current administration have gone to extent of storming the Office of the Vice President with lies about the GETFund handlers, but they were not entertained.
The Vice President was reported to have told the misguided elements that all that they brought to his office were a pack of lies, and that the Presidency has full confidence in the current handlers of the GETFund.
The Board Chairman of the GETFund, for instance, served in four different ministerial positions under the erstwhile Kufuor administration.
He was not for once involved in any scandal and so are other members of the board.
The administrator of the fund is also someone with an unblemished record in all his dealings and could not be associated with any wrongdoings.
