My attention has been drawn to a story making rounds especially on social media platforms that I have slapped a party faithful during an NDC communications meeting.
I wish to state unequivocally that I was not at any such communications meeting and to state that without doubt this can only represent the infantile imagination of whoever is behind the said story.
I have however noticed that these mischievous characters have decided to attach an old video from our press conference in January 2017 in their quest to give credence to this malicious and wicked story.
For the records, the video in circulation was recorded in January of 2017 at a press conference I was addressing in the wake of the NPP supporters’ attacks on our members after the 2016 general elections. Whilst the press conference was ongoing, a gentleman walked into the conference room at the NDC Headquarters, the venue for the event and started shouting on top of his voice to register his displeasure towards NDC leadership at the time whom, according to him were looking on whilst the NPP supporters attacked our people without any provocation.
Unfortunately, this video was later used by some self seeking people as representing a fight between my good self and this gentleman.
I wish to use this opportunity to call on all well meaning Ghanaians to disregard the said publication and treat it with the contempt it deserves.
This is however without any prejudice to any right I have at law to vindicate my innocence.
