Ministry of Road and Highways, Ghana Highway Authority together with the construction firm working on Tema roundabout interchange (SHIMIZU-DAI NIPPON) have revealed plans to open a diversion road on Sunday 21st October, 2018 to allow active excavation works at the construction cite.
The project is to improve upon Ghana’s International Corridors Grade Separation in Tema and the road diversion plan aims at managing free flow of traffic.
Ghana Highway Authority (GHA) Project Coordinator for Grade Separation of Tema Interchange Mr. Seth Agyemang Baah disclosed this in a media engagement and said, the new dirversion road will affect those using Aflao and Akosombo main route through to Tema and those from the Motorway through to Harbour road.
He thus called on the general public to adhere to this information and observe road signs to avoid accidents.
He cautioned drivers and commuters to cooperate with them to allow smooth execution of the project.
The second in command of Tema district police MTTD, ASP Bruce Amoah pledged to deploy enough police personnels to help sensitize and manage free flow of traffic in the area.
