A meeting was held yesterday between the Functional Executive Committee of the National Democratic Congress, the newly elected flagbearer of the party, President John Dramani Mahama and former aspirants in the just ended Presidential Primaries.
The meeting was held in a very cordial atmosphere and the flagbearer, President John Dramani Mahama as well as his colleagues Hon Alban S.K Bagbin, Prof. Joshua Alabi, Dr. Ekow Spio Garbrah, Mr. Goosie Tanoh, Hon. Sylvester Mensah and Mr. Nurudeen Iddrisu all pledged to continue the effort towards
strengthening party unity and teamwork.
Consequently, the meeting agreed on the following:
• That all aspirants dissolve their campaign teams .
• That aspirants will be fully and collectively involved in all campaign activities leading to the 2020 elections.
• That effort be made by the party to integrate the teams into activities of the party.
All the former aspirants pledged their full support to President John Dramani Mahama’s bid for the presidency on the Party’s ticket. President Mahama in turn indicated his desire to maintain an open door and engage his colleagues on the construction of a formidable electoral platform and campaign strategy for the 2020 elections and beyond.
