RE: MAHAMA COMMUNITY DAY SHS IN BAWJIASE COMMISSIONED WITHOUT BUILDING PAINTING
The attention of Awutu Senya West NDC has been drawn to a false reportage on Asempa FM on 20th March, 2019 by their Central Regional Correspondent, Kofi Adjei regarding the status of that magnificent edifice which was commissioned by His Excellency John Dramani Mahama on 29th November, 2016 in Bawjiase, a memorable day it was, for all the good reasons.
In the report, the correspondent made misleading and factually inacurate statements to the effect that, at the time of commissioning, the facility had not been painted and not fit for use.
As a party we want to put on record without equivocation that on 29th November, 2016 the Mahama Community Senior High In Bawjiase had been painted, fully furnished and occupied by students.
The malicious, mischievous and false impression being peddled by Kofi Adjei is unfortunate and we call on him to issue retraction of the story to save his credibility.
We are appalled as much as we are alarmed that a reporter of his calibre will allow himself to be used to perpetrate such unfounded and vile propaganda, as a documentary, carefully orchestrated to cast a slur on the unblemished and enviable track record of his H.E John Dramani Mahama as far as infrastructure is concerned, he will surely be exposed.
We want to state unconditionally that we will not allow our constituency to be used in any way to discredit the track record of the NDC and to throw dust in the eyes of discerning Ghanaians in general and the good people of Bawjiase and its environs.
We therefore urge listeners and Ghanaians to treat the report with the contempt it deserves with this failed attempt to do the bidding of their paymasters.
