When ever you apply for Building Permit, insist on your receipt showing the date and time of submission.
If after 3-months you do not hear in a form of written communication from the approving authority (District / Municipal / Metro Assembly), then GO AHEAD AND DO YOUR DEVELOPMENT.
The law allows an applicant who failed to receive communication as to whether the permit is approved or not after 3-months to assume that his/her permit is approved and continue with his/her development.
Remember your receipt of submission plays a crucial role here as it’s the only evidence of your submission for more than 3-months.
Again, remember to comply with section 10- of the National Building Regulation LI 1630 in executing your development.
